Bio
Michael Schupbach is an award-winning Art Director, Designer, Concept Artist, and Creative Technologist. He specializes in combining new and emerging technologies with tried and true design skills to create unusual, evocative, and engaging creatures, environments, and performances.
He is currently employed at Neon (formerly known as City Neon) as an Art Director. Please note that the majority of his work at Neon is covered by an NDA and is not available on this site.
He is also a co-founder of Puppet Kitchen Productions and an alumnus of Jim Henson's Muppet Workshop.
As a Creative, he has the ability to conceptualize, design, and render new concepts, characters, and environments with the needs of production in mind.
As an Art Director, he has the ability to shepherd existing IPs through the production process with care, accuracy, and an eye for character integrity.
In his spare time, he teaches performance, experiments with artistic 3D render settings, dabbles in AI art generation, and crafts impressive candlesticks on his wood lathe.
